Summary: STAR Submarine is the product of a student-led service-learning project to promote STEM education, funded by the National Science Foundation's STARS Computing Corps. I was the leader of a team of 8 other students for the month we had to bring this prototype to life. Our mission was to design an engaging game that would raise young students' interests in STEM fields.

My Roles |
Project Leader - As leader, I scheduled our meetings, delegated roles, set deadlines, and acted as the glue that held the different members of our team together. Being a freshman in charge of a team of mostly upperclassmen, I developed my leadership skills tremendously.
Digital Artist - I was also our team's main artist. During work sessions, I created assets, including the submarine model, the seaweed, and the dynamic environmental lighting- all of which you can see in the video I made above. Curriculum Design - I helped the team organize a post-development plan for delivering our game to students as a learning experience. |
